Come-Prima is a Community band for those people who love to play music together and, perhaps more importantly, love to eat cake and chocolate during the rehearsal breaks ! We are an extremely friendly and welcoming band and place an emphasis on peoples enthusiasm to play music rather than over stress their ability. So - no auditions , if you'd like to join in we'd be delighted to see you !

We have no restrictions on age or ability and have members ranging from 8 - 80 , from beginners to semi-pro and professional musicians - the older and more experience people providing help and encouragement to those just starting out.

The band rehearses at Glenmoor School for Girls, Beswick Avenue, Bournemouth every Thursday evening during term time. Normally people up to Grade 4 standard rehearse from 6.00 pm - 7.30pm and those of grade 5 standard and above from 7.30pm to 9.00pm (although most of these people come to the early session as well !).

We do about 4 or 5 concerts, 'gigs', each year - at Glenmoor School, Bournemouth Bandstand, Bournemouth Carnival, St. Peters Finger pub etc etc - they're always good fun and a great chance to show off to your family and friends !

There's only one real condition of membership and that is when its your birthday you have to bring in cake for the band !!!!
