Helen was
born in Wembley and moved to the Dorset coast over 21 years ago
where she raised 3 children. Helen has been interested in music
ever since receiving her first recorder at the tender age of 7 !
Since then she has studied the clarinet at the Royal academy of
music and completed a BEd at London University. Playing music
has always been an important part of her life especially over
the last 13 years. She privately teaches on 3 instruments is an
active member of the Association of Southern Artistes. Virtually
every waking moment is someway involved with music which has
given life enormous pleasure and fun. Helen runs a dance band
'Tequila Dance Band' and most importantly is the inspiration and
Director of Music of Come Prima. Helen established Come Prima
during 2000 and in many ways in has come to epitomise her
passion for encouraging and nurturing others with their musical
abilities.
Certainly
the 80 odd members (that means approximately 80, not 80 odd
people!) love attending Come Prima regularly and this is because
of Helen's wonderful way with all people, her passion for the
group and her continual hard work behind the scenes to ensure
that Come Prima keeps going !
Thanks
Helen, we all think you're amazing !
